II. Summary of the Month:

Greetings South West!

 

This month has seen many aspects of the administration of the best region in
the nation kick into high gear.  Juliet
currently has several DC elections in process, and a few more will begin on
Dec. 27.  The newsletter is going strong
so if you have something to submit, don't hesitate to contact Brian!
Charmain kicked off the Regional Charity for
the season and is in the process of creating a year-long charity drive.  As
always, Paul continues to set records
for his review turn-around times.  The CRD is getting cleaned up with
transferred and new members being assigned to
the appropriate domains.  All in all, things are running fairly smoothly.
Gen Con So-Cal saw the registration of
many new temporary members.  I am sending emails to each person
invididually.  This is a good sign for the club!

I want to thank everyone for being great members and making this region a
pleasure to work for.

IV. Projects:

Administration Office

 

Currently there are six domain coordinator elections going on and two more will follow soon. We’re processing all the members that have transferred into the South West Region and are finishing the clearing out of ‘lost members’ from the CRD.

Arbitration Office

 

We’re hiring a Member Advocate for New Mexico.

Charities Office

 

Quarterly Charity Drive Announced: Food Drive for the months of November, December and
January.

How to participate:
Collect non-perishable food items and donate them to a local Food Bank or
other Food Collection Agency.

Coordinators:

Please send your breakdowns to my office no later than the 1st of month (for
the month preceding).

Also if you have a question for the Newsletter or in general and you don’t want to be the first to ask or be known you can utilize the anonymous drop box located on the SW Regional website. Unfortunately submissions were a little light this month but I am sure it is because of the holidays. I am hoping that December will be better but only time will tell.

Member Review Office

 

 
The Great South West Missing Prestige Project has been

concluded and the files have been sent to the SWRC and

USNC for review. SWRC has awarded the prestige from this
Project in this report. The

necessary information has been forwarded to the people

Wes told me to send it to and I clarified a few awards

for Wes. 122 Storyteller On Time Reporting awards have

finally been awarded. Strategicon 2006 is finally

listed and posted under the correct year and we’re just waiting for confirmed
numbers for the Mini-Regional held at the end of October.

Outreach Office

 

Many chapters and domains have expressed interest in being part of the membership drive. Getting together the materials to make this all happen at the beginning of the year.

Technology Office

 

 
Big news on this area. We moved the server from a 1.5MG line to a 6MG!!!!!! We should definitely see an increase on the response and now we have a huge capability for serving more stuff out of there. So let's take advantage of it.
